Plant your bookmark

HERE IS THE STEP BY STEP GUIDE TO PLANT YOUR BOOKMARK AT HOME

These bookmarks are printed on handmade paper, created with 100% recycled cotton, and embedded with a mixture of wildflower seeds. The best times to plant these outside is between March – June . Indoors can be planted all year round.

Plant me and I will grow into wildflowers

STEP 1: PREPARE YOUR POT

Fill your plant pot 2/3 full with some good potting soil. Tap down the soil and add more if necessary
(you want the pot to be firmly full but not packed). The bookmark can be planted indoors or outdoors, so you get to choose according to the temperature and conditions at the time of planting.

STEP 2: PLANT THE PAPER

Take your bookmark and cover it in the prepared pot with the soil (the bookmark can face any way up) . Spread a 1/8 layer of soil over the bookmark and tap down gently.

STEP 3: WATER DURING GERMINATION

After planting the bookmark in your pot, give it a good soak. You want the soil and the bookmark to be nicely damp but not swimming in the water. During the first ten days, keep the paper moist at all times.

STEP 4: CARE AFTER GEMINATION

Once sprouts appear, continue to keep the paper moist but be careful not to overwater. Once plants appear, water as needed, during the winter months, you’ll find you won’t need to water as much as in the summer months.

STEP 5: ALWAYS REMEMBER…

.

It’s the little things in life that help us live mindfully. Take joy into watching something you’ve planted grow from a seed.
